Stranded at Sea is a 7 piece post-hardcore band hailing from West Palm Beach, FL. The band started in early 2010 when Tyler Guthrie (Guitar), Johnny Zwisler (Guitar) and Dan Dambrosia (Bass) came together and had jam sessions. They soon realized the potential they had and started searching for a drummer and vocalist while continuing to write. They eventually found the new talent of Diego Gonzalez (Drums) and started playing some shows with temporary vocalists. In October of 2010, Stranded at Sea discovered the keyboardist Bob Schlacks (Synth) and the vocals of Wil Lanagan (Ex. drummer of Modify the Moment, Vocals). After a couple months with progress, Branden Martin (Ex. Modify the Moment, Vocals), showed interest in the band and was inducted in, to form the final and current roster of Stranded at Sea.
Stranded at Sea has an unrivaled passion for their music & have a desire and will to spread the messages from their hearts that they wish to convey. Their hard work and drive paid off when they won the Scream It Like You Mean It 2011 Battle of the Bands and had the opportunity to open a show with prestigious bands such as Breathe Carolina (Fearless), Chiodos (Equal Vision), The Color Morale (Rise) and more. Stranded at Sea has also had the opportunity to play with bands such as Texas In July (Equal Vision), Lions Lions (Panic), Oh, Sleeper (Solid State), Like Moths To Flames (Rise), Ice Nine Kills (Red Blue), I See Stars (Sumerian) and many more.
Stranded at Sea went to The Lab Studios (Hialeah, Fl) in 2011 and recorded their Demo E.P. with Jesse Diaz (Harbor the Son, Neurotic November). This E.P. was released in Spring of 2012 for free download.
