Quick Bio
With less than a year under their belt, Boxer & Clover take “a stab at radio airplay and deliver with a polished, confident swagger, that's hard to deny.” Evan Frank, Daniel Perry, Brad Dubs, and Gavin Haengel have a driving passion for music and are determined to bring something fresh and exciting to the overpopulated, cookie-cutter pop-rock/alternative genre. In July of 2009, the band worked with Cameron Mizell (Oceana, I See Stars, Of Machines), who is also an A&R for Rise Records, to produce their debut EP “What Happens Here”, which is now available for purchase on iTunes and many other online retailers. They have been busy gaining a fan-base in the metro Orlando, FL area and are preparing to expand their horizons with an upcoming tour alongside Teen Heat (Invogue records). Be sure to keep an eye and ear out for these guys.

AbsolutePunk.net review:
Review By: Gregory Robson

Lord knows the last thing the music world needs is another power-pop/pop-punk hybrid, but sure enough when the talent is there, it needs to be recognized. The Orlando, FL band Boxer and Clover are such a band. On their debut EP What Happens Here the quartet take a stab at radio airplay and deliver with a polished, confident swagger, that's hard to deny. The most accessible is the earnest and engaging "Adding to 100 Years of Silence," but the driving "Blue," is equally as strong. The bittersweet, "The Sound of Your Lullaby," however, is the one song that shows the band's true ability. Sounding a lot like Mae circa The Everglow, "Lullaby," has a huge chorus and forlorn verses that are sure to win fans over by the thousands. Not even a year old, Boxer and Clover certainly have something to offer and if this is just the beginning, the optimist in me thinks they're headed for a huge future.
